Sri Lanka
The Foundation has made two grants to aid people in Sri Lanka. In 2009 a grant was made to provide food aid to hundreds of people displaced by civil war in the Northern Province, and in 2008 a grant provided nutritious food for 3,000 victims of the great Pacific tsunami.
| 2009, November – Assistance to Displaced Persons in Sri Lanka TPRF donated US$20,000 to the Jeeva Shakthi Society for aid to Vavuniya, Northern Province, Vavuniya District of Sri Lanka to provide food aid to those displaced by civil war living in camps. Shamila Malawaraarachchi, Treasurer of Jeeva Shakthi Society, said, "Thanks to the grant by The Prem Rawat Foundation, it has enabled a large number of IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) who are really in need of nutritious food to get it." | 2005, January – Food and Water for Tsunami Victims in East and West Sri Lanka As part of its effort to help victims of the great Pacific tsunami, the Foundation made a $15,000 grant to the Jeevashakthi Society, Ltd. to feed 3,400 people for one month, including a nutritious breakfast for 1,500 schoolchildren.
